CAAE ASTROLOGY CLASSES

Astrology Classes are ongoing. The curriculum for the three year course is provided by the Canadian Association for Astrological Education (CAAE). Eight weeks of classes (two and one half hours each evening) are held in the fall and winter. Students who attend these classes are eligible to write CAAE Levels One, Two and Three Exams. Exams are held in May each year.

Basic Astrology – Level One

First Semester

Students learn about the sun signs, planets, houses, elements, modalities and aspects in an Astrology Chart. They gain a basic understanding of how planetary energies affect human behaviour. They also learn about their own personality characteristics, skills, talents, vocation interests and potential in their own birth chart.

Second Semester

Students learn to interpret a birth chart. They review the key words for the sun signs and planets and learn about configurations. They also study elements, houses, aspects and orbs in greater detail. They learn about the meaning of the planets and their position in the houses. Students are introduced to chart patterns, moon phases and retrograde planets.

Intermediate Astrology – Level Two

First Semester

Students continue to work with birth charts. They study the major aspect configurations (stellium, T-square, grand cross and grand trine) in greater depth. They also learn about the chart ruler, house cusps and the eight major chart patterns.

Second Semester

Students review the Moon Phases. They are introduced to eclipses and the Moon’s Nodes. They learn about Chiron and the Arabian Parts. They are introduced to the vertex, fixed stars, interceptions and the derivative houses.

Advanced Astrology – Level Three

First Semester

Students study the cyclic nature of the inner and outer planets and how the planetary transits affect our lives. They learn about Progressed Charts and study the Progressed Sun and Moon in depth.

Second Semester

Students continue to work on the planetary transits and Progressed Charts. They are introduced to Solar Arc Directions and Solar Return Charts.
